A lamp for phototherapy and bilirubin treatment created in collaboration with Sergio Macchioni Ceo of Hikari, this product revolutionizes previous generations that illuminated using gas tubes and that during their use changed the frequency (color) of light emission and thus became ineffective or even harmful for the treatment of jaundice in newborns.

Studying the problem in depth, Eros Angelini’s design team patented this lamp which, in addition to using high quality LEDs that guarantee a constant frequency of 465 nm without decay, has the possibility of not irradiating the hands of the health workers working on board the neonatal cot.

A Bluetooth system makes it possible to calibrate the constant light on the newborn so that the lamp always transmits the same power to the baby’s skin, whether close up or shining through the incubator’s lens. With Bluetooth itself, the application also gives information on the irradiation time/side for each newborn and is also useful for technical assistance.
